Welcome to my virtual classroom.
My name is Nino Soria de Veyra and I'm a full-time teacher at the University of the Philippines Mindanao.
If you're a student in one of my classes, this is where you'll get to read what we've discussed in class so far. This is where you can also post me questions you were shy to ask in class. If you're a fellow teacher, you might find some of the materials here useful for your classes in literature, creative writing, communication, or media studies. If you find any material interesting, feel free to use them (though I'd appreciate if you could put in the proper attribution, seeing as this site is licensed under the Creative Commons). It was only a few years back that I started using blogs as an extension of classroom interaction, and only in 2009 when I took the next step and got myself a domain name and hosting service. Now I'm reconstructing those other blogs here on this website, as well as building new blogs and pages for new courses. | You can also find here a link to my poetry blog (featuring my own poems as well as notes on other poets' works) and some sort of online journal (mostly about books I've read, movies watched, music played, and so on). I'm also currently updating and revising the critical preface of my Creative Writing thesis. Coming soon is a new page for papers I've read or published.
